Arrghhh!! got my 1st speeding ticket

Wow, when she said 51 over, did you think she was going to take your bike/car?

That must have been a horrible feeling.

For some people. Every new ticket, their license is on the line.

How often will you get a ticket in the next three years?

What are your driving habits like?

How much is your time worth?

Only you can answer the questions above.

If you don't get any more tickets, and your rates don't go up for it, and you did it, then it's not worth fighting.

Not sure I believe this one! I got a ticket yesterday, was going 121 in a 70. It was my first conviction and she dropped it to 20km/hour. Fight or no fight
What part do you not believe?

And you don't have a conviction yet, just a ticket!!!

If you fight it and you lose, they will amend it back up to 51kph over which is considered as a major ticket by your insurance company!!!

Choose your fights wisely, unless you think you have a rock solid case, this might not be the time to fight. If you were only doing 41 over I would say fight. Anything 45kph or over "actual" speed I would say don't fight if they charged you with 40kph or under.

lol. That was before I experienced my first "amended up" case :) If you got a huge reduction from the cop, and little chance of winning in court, best be thinking what it'd cost ya if you lost.

Still worth disclosure no? I believe you can request for a trial, then disclosure. You can pay the ticket off any time before the trial date? Unless they never give you the disclosure...then...=/

Yes, yes and yes :)

If you apply for and don't receive disclosure, you can usually get your charges dropped (stayed) if you push hard enough.
