Are you right in the head?

I like how some people say most people are clueless and ignorant. I like when those people are not important. The important ones, you have to worry about. Bosses, cops, politicians, anybody in authority treats you like they think you're clueless and ignorant, you have a problem. These important people are antisocial and self motivated to acquire positions of authority.

But a lot of people are. There are simple "basics" that people really should know and they don't (like the 6 university educated people confused on how to boost a car that I encountered last week). The ignorant side of that is when people don't care that they don't know something and fail to self educate. Example, I had no clue who this Tim Leary was. So, I did a quick google of him so I at least had a clue.
Or ignorant to the point that they don't get how their actions may affect others.

And who is to say who is more important? You don't know who I am, you don't know my personal experiences that have formed my opinions. I've been around enough, I've observed enough, and I'm intelligent enough to make my own impressions, and just because I don't have some high and mighty title doesn't mean I can't be valid.

Im no genius, not a MENSA member and in most aspects think I'm just a normal person, but people that don't care about not knowing about the world really bothers me. I don't get how people can enjoy floating through life being in general "clueless".

At this point I just want to say that my sig is for comedic effect only.

If it were serious, it would say: Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

You went from "most" to a "lot". There's a vital distinction. Saying "most" is really being ignorant. Using the 6 uni student example is total fail.
I don't know who you are? Do you know who "most" people are? Do you know the 6 students?
A lot of this stuff is relative. You want to take a dim view of other people, you're giving your betters the green light to view you negatively. That's the deal.
If your betters are in a position of authority (important people) they will do to you exactly what is happening all over the world. There are thousands of examples of decent humble people being taken advantage of in so many ways by those who deem themselves better.
I would be careful how you view "most" people.

Everyone starts off at the same place with me. I give people the benefit of the doubt, until I have a reason to be swayed one way or the other. I generally treat everyone with respect, as I think there just isn't enough of that in our society.
I know doctors that I have no clue how they made it to their position, and I've met people in "joe jobs" that are incredibly smart.
And I do know those 6 people, I work with them.

Antisocial (not a big surprise, most people are clueless, and ignorant)

I can only read what you write. I've read enough of your posts to know you're not an idiot, in fact have some accomplishments under your belt. If I thought lowly of you I wouldn't have even responded to your offending post. I don't, so it struck a nerve. Do you understand where I'm coming from?

PS, while I think of it....those 6 students not knowing how to jump a car, is that an honest reflection of who they are?
