Arai or BEll?

On my second Scorpion. They fit me well and I really do like them. Comfortable for all day riding or for playing at the track. I bought a EXO-500 this time. It has some nice features not found on many mid-priced lids. Saw a EXO-700 crashed at the track last year. It held up well.

thats a relief! i have exo750!

this is a totally different brand from arai and bell.....but i just got a scorpion.....anyone's opinion on that brand????

I haven't tried using scorpion neither arai and bell. If some one in this thread can give a good review about the three brands, then, better.

I have had all three - currently I have a lower end HJC, an Arai, and a Shark. My $89.00 HJC I got on clearance after my previous Arai was stolen from garage during a break in. The Shark, Scorpion and the Bell were purchased in subsequent attempts to avoid spending $500+ for a helmet.

I started out with the Bell for my latest trip out west - it got ditched in New Mexico in the bike shop where I had my oil changed. It was 110 F heat, the padding on it had really compressed and it was rubbing against my face, causing blisters in the heat. Also it was noisy beyond belief on the Interstates. It was however not one of the high end models.

The Scorpion just doesn't fit my head shape - hit in a nasty pressure point on my forehead which became evident after about an hour. I still have the HJC and the Shark - the Shark just doesn't have enough ventillation for me for summer riding and the HJC is starting to pack in and be a little loose now - but I was actually really happy with it. I wore it last year on my ride to Arizona.

I don't necessarily think the Arai is any safer than any of the above - but for my riding syle I'm willing to pay the extra money for the comfort. Its lighter, the lining is soft, it has lots of ventillation without lots of wind noise (all helmets have some wind noise) and its the best all round for the shape of my head (also being round).
So yeah - go with what suits you best - this is my third Arai and I've probably wasted more money in trying to buy cheaper helmets to save money.
