Aprilia Tuono v4R Factory

Parts availability from the local dealer was no worse than expected:
Call dealer, give part number. If in stock, yay! if not, it goes on stock order so 1-2 weeks. This was a year ago and I can imagine it's only gotten better rather than worse.

Suzuki on the other hand...parts comming in on stock orders had a much longer wait time.

If you're thinking of going Aprilia, parts availability is well and truely much less of an issue now.

What the deal with Suzuki's parts distribution? Almost every OEM part I've needed from Yamaha came in the next day. One time, something was backordered, I think it took four days.

I always figured every japanese bike man. was similar. Is Yamaha better than the rest, or is Suzuki just worse?

Suzuki sucks balls when it comes to parts. Even simple things like exhaust middle gaskets need to come from JA-PAN

Are they overnight parts?

(couldn't resist)

That's been my experience as well. Air filter, fork seals, levers, bolts, brake caliper seals, brake pads, final drive gasket. At least a week wait, sometimes more. It's a good thing I didn't need anything special.

A V4R frame was only $1050? As a replacement part cost? That sounds crazy cheap. Are you sure they weren't buying it from a fence?
