Hasn’t it been the same bike since 2017?
I believe they added the semi active suspension in 2019? Not sure if its just the factory model that comes with it or the RR as well

The RR has been the same, and the Factory got the semi-active Ohlins suspension in 2019 (which is what the video covers).

2021 will have a bunch of changes, but it's not totally clear exactly what they all are. Most obviously will be the fairing, swingarm and Bosch IMU (edit: Marelli in 2021) system. There's a possibility they'll further differentiate the standard (possibly no longer RR) and Factory by making the standard more touring and comfort oriented and the Factory more track oriented. Previously, the only differences were the Ohlins suspension and the tail unit (and more big letters down the side).

Big poppa likes wind protection
We shall see. There still isn't any info besides the one picture from the left side that they first released, but there's some language in the press release that highlights the standard as being softer, more comfortable, and for "longer routes". They seem keen to highlight that the two models will be a lot more different than previous years. My favourite part is this line: The passenger is no longer a barely tolerated guest and now benefits from an ample and comfortable portion of saddle and lower footpegs.

One of the underrated aspects of the current model is how comfy it is at speed. The screen isn't big, but it does an excellent job of smoothing the airflow to simultaneously keep it off your body and barely has any buffeting. The bars that feel a bit far away at a stop are perfect on the move, leaning you into the wind a bit to add stability and make you feel less like a sail.

Of course, some also say it's not a real naked bike because the fairing is so big, but that's just a semantics argument...

don't forget all LED lighting and cornering headlights like the 660s.
hopefully if they're doing standard as touring it'll finally get a fuel gauge and/or maybe bigger tank? but i don't see them manufacturing two tank sizes.

Its like great sound is tied to poor fuel mileage or something
(MT 10 etc)

Damn! You're looking for gas at 220km????? I'm usually fuel light on by 180km, pretty sure I'd be pushing it by 220.

Taking it easy, my fuel light comes on consistently between 200-210kms.
But between yesterday and today I managed 175kms before the light came on....

Funny story. I ran mine out of gas one day on a ride with some friends. Good thing about the tuono with the naked fairings is the overflow hoses are exposed so we pulled the rad overflow hose off, siphoned gas out of my buddies tank into a empty water bottle we found on the side of the road and dumped it into my tank. Fired up and got me to the gas station. Yippee.

Sheesh a lot of tuono owners on GTAM

Pretty impressive bike(zack court on a tuono 660):
tldr version: its 10k, 400lbs wet, lots of usable stomp, class leading electronics, lots of character and style, more wind protection than most nakeds, ridiculously agile)

finally took the new 1100 Factory out.
-insert profanity-
I had an 2010 GSXR1000 and a Speed triple before this. Thought I had some baseline, nope.
How does this thing pull the way it does? The gixxer wouldve needed to be at 9000 rpm+ to feel the way this thing feels at even 3k.

I completely understand the supernaked term
Love it, love the sound.
