Apex Stainless Brake Lines????

$15.99?, the bulk line would be worth more then that. Perhaps it's stainless style hose wrap?

Key words "Starting at" ...

Also it's not stated what's included. Maybe he'll make up the lines for $15 provided that you supply all of the parts (i.e. the $15 is a labour charge).

There was a big sale on some HEL line a while ago. I installed four sets of them, one of them started to leak right otta the box.

My rear brake line had minimal stress, over sized and routed in a different fashion. Even with extra care the crimped fitting started to twist, didnt leak, but it would've with more services down the line.

Spigal makes some good stuff.

I more so just wondering if anyone has dealt with the product or details.... Don't think I would ever actually buy any...

they should confirm to standard dimensional tolerances, so they would work just fine. Watch out for the crimps, and use new crush washers...

at that price......I wonder IF you would actually STOP

is there no governing body for stuff like this?

for car's you gotta use DOT approved lines, for bikes nothing?

The second key word is 'each'. You guys are thinking of a full set of motorcycle brake lines, but these are generally the short automotive lines that go from the hard line. So on a car, $15 x 4 lines which are about 1 foot each. On a motorcycle, much longer lines, plus x 3.

Seems to me this might be more of an interesting topic than I thought..
I bought 3 sets, 2000 gsxr 600, 2006 gsxr 600, 2007 gsxr 1000 all 64.95 a set. Nice lines. Raymond went way out of is way to make sure the lines were a perfect fit. The customer service is some of the best I've ever had. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. and that's 64.65 for all 3 lines.

nothing wrong with their product, bought a whole new set for my bike, very good quality, banjo bolts included and crush washers as well, I dropped off the old set of lines, and they made up a whole new set, correct bends and all

They are about $25 for one line. You go to the website and insert all your specs, pretty impressive. They make whatever you want and what angle and fittings you want, it cannot be more customized than that.

Installed a rear line last weekend, the quality and fittings were good. The lines itself has a DOT stamping, but is made in China. Doesn't bother me at all, its just my rear brake. The only problem I encounter was the bolt did not fit into my stock caliper. I just re-used the stock bolt and the new copper washer.

Raymond gives good customer service for sure and he also carry car parts. Located in Scarboro

How do they make sure the rotation of the fittings is in the right location, so you dont twist the lines during install?

Thats why I like ordering from Speigler, their fittings can rotate

There are different fittings and you choose and measure your fittings. Go to the site, then u'll understand

Ive had many custom lines made for me so I do understand, I only see 5 angle choices...Personally thats not good enough for me, but to each their own...

Line twisting puts stress on the crimp and causes leaking down the road...Thats why I prefer fittings that can rotate to the exact angle needed

I've used his lines and they are well made. They come with new washers and bolts. With the banjo angle you also have to let him no the degree of twist between the top and bottom banjo. Its better explained on his site and you can always have lines dropped off to be copied.

I have them on my Race Bikes. They are very well made and can highly recommend them. I just dropped off the originals but specified the new lengths and the angles were spot on.
