If you are in the market for a Ducati, it looks these are the options.
Even though they are the closest, I have not heard good things about Peninsula Imports.

Who would you give your money to?

Ohhhhh what’s on the short list?

I've bought Ducatis from both GP Bikes and Peninsula. Peninsula used to be primarily a grey market exotic car dealership. Motorcycles never really seemed to be their focus. They just carried Ducati as a way to upsell the guys who wanted to accessorize their Ferrari or Lambo with an Italian sportbike. I got my Duc when they first opened up and they were undercutting the market by blowing out prices to get their name out. Got a great deal, but never felt like their parts/accessories and service were up to the standards of a more focused motorcycle dealership like GP Bikes, which is where I ended up taking my Ducs.

I've never dealt with Apex. @Wingboy is a customer and used to work there, I think?

If the stars align, Ducati Supersport S.

Nice! Post some pics when you get it.

this still seems to be the case

So not the new 950? Watched a review of that and the rs660. 660 is the better bike all around, a tune would eliminate a flat spot. Duc costs a fair bit more and doesn’t even have cruise control????

I thought the supersport was a 950?

Agreed on all this, after a flash, the aprilia is probably a better bike and better value.

Old ones are called super sport. New ones are super sport 950. I believe it’s a 936cc? L twin

I went to Peninsula many years ago on my wing to buy some parts and tires. Browsed the showroom, after 20 min a guy told me they don't have Honda stuff.
Ok...toodle f'n loo.
Was offered a job at Apex. Turned it down. I would never want to make a living at something i love to do.

Given current supply issues, who has the bike in stock? That may make the decision easy if you want one soon.

I suspect unless hes very lucky, he likely has a wait time ahead of him of several months, in which case he can either place the order, or wait till the market cools down in the fall etc or lightly used bikes hit the market

You guys think you're so fancy with all the Aprilia and Ducati talk blah blah blah, meh, my Briggs and Stratton 108 with automatic choke and custom frame built by Fred the Plumber would make you beat a hasty retreat with your tail between your legs....

Yes the 950S.
I've watched the reviews, I don't want an Aprilla 660.
Good to go with what you really want. I've ridden both the new Monster 1200S and Tuono and although every reviewer says the Tuono is the best, I much preferred riding the Monster and that's where my money would go in that comparo.
I bought my Ducati at Gp Bikes and they were excellent to deal with. Prepped a dozen bikes at the dealer to test ride to compare and when I decided on the Ducati they had it ready with no surprises and a good deal. I'll probably by a new Ducati Multistrada in a year or two and will go back to GP.
