I think elton_t understands what he will (or won't) be paying. He seems to understand that he will have to pay a lump sum every October as well.
I didn't say it was impossible to get Comp-only coverage over the winter, but it certainly isn't encouraged by State Farm and probably against their underwriting rules. If you can find an agent who will do that for you, then by all means. Just bear in mind that you will only save 12% on the non-Comp coverages.
Regarding the years experience comments, I asked a State Farm agent once and it sounds like they consider 3 years of G1 experience as a full three years of experience (even though, by the Insurance Act, they only have to credit you with one year for your G1 experience).
