Anyone ride a XSR900?

Just an update - I ended up picking up a (new to me) 900. Thanks all for your feedback, thoughts and suggestions. After much deliberation, I ended up siding with the 900 over the 700. It was persuaded with the pretty sweet deal I got on it.

Happy Riding! Cheers.

you end up getting the xsr900 or mt09? Im convinced they must have hired an italian consultant to design that engine, or it wouldnt be so much fun
Either way, congrats, great bike!

XSR :-) Although the mt09 would've saved me some $$$ I just adore the retro look that the xsr has. And the 900's larger tank size, and metal brackets (on the headlight, and back near the seat) make it look real secksi.

She's currently waiting out the winter....but I'm hoping to go for a spin tomorrow to get it safetied down the street.

Um... to get a safety done?
That's a big risk. No insurance, no plate, unfit vehicle. That's a big ticket and forget about insurance for the foreseeable future.

You’re assuming the OP didn’t put it in his name as ‘unfit’, arrange insurance and get a 10-day temp plate.
Doing it that way is perfectly legal.

Only if I get caught!
Kidding aside - I have a T sticker similar to what I previously did, so it gives me enough time to go and ride legally. Even tho it is literally 1km from my house...I can prob walk it there in 30 mins! Better safe than sorry
