Ok, I will admit even though I am pretty handy with my motorcycle other than preload I am confused when it comes to suspension. So with that I ask the you, the good folks of GTAM if anyone is 1st knowledgable with suspension and 2nd are they willing to assist me in setting up mine. Now I am not a racer a basic set up will do. If anyone can help, please let me know via replying to my post or a PM.

I am in the process of reading up on how to do it all, but still need those confident hands !!

Are you saying you already have your preload (sag) correct, and just want to dial in rebound and compression? For me the key here is to change one thing at a time and just ride the same road after every adjustment - as im sure you've read.

PM TAFB, He's always looking for newbs to teach things to.

Ohhhhhh... wait a sec... he's banned for being a fool ...... nevermind.

No, current bike is factory set. What I was saying is that I know how to adjust preload. I would need to set everything one step at a time.

****, why do I even bother....

Just set your sag with a buddy after watching a few videos, then dial the rest in to suit how you like it. Make fairly gross adjustments to get a feel for thier effect. Just dont change too many things at once and write down what you do change. The only way you are going to learn is to get out there and do it. Not sure what kind of answer you were after.

You said yourself you're not racing.

Thanks all.

I'll do it myself.

Dude, the effort involved in doing a suspension setup is something most ppl don't find value in doing yourself.

everytime i've gotten an oil change on a new bike (1 every 2 years - bikes, not oil), at riders choice, they did the suspension at the same time for a nominal charge.

and you do need someone's help, cuz you need to be sitting on the bike to get proper measures.

Dude,

I have friends that can help, no issues there.

I guess my point in my post was lost, I am not lacking the skill required to perform this task, just thought that maybe someone who has done it could offer assistance if they felt like doing so.

From the replies so far, I see I am better off tackle this with a good read, some youtube and my friends.

It's all good.

test results came back.

My reply wasn't meant to insult you, I just know D can do it for dirt cheap, take a ride out to see him and you'll be all set.

If you want to do it on your own, you can totally do it, there's probably links to your specific bike on youtube
