Anyone know why they sewed my pockets to my crotch?

Its deliberate and should keep the pocket flat against the pant so both the pocket and its contents stay in place when either putting pants on or off, even though the pockets have zippers. Too often after putting pants on, I need to stick my hand down into the pocket to straighten them against the pant

Do people need to ask you why it takes 5 minutes to straighten them?

See stormcat's post above.

The connection is to help facilitate the playing of pocket pool. I understand that men like to play that game.

We like playing pocket pool as much as ladies enjoy adjusting their bikini tops/bottoms and other female undergarments.

Update: Had to go to Royal Distributing today to buy a part for my bike. Since I was there anyway, I exchanged the pants for a new (same model) pair and found that the pockets in the replacement pair were on a leash to the crotch too. However the original ones were still flawed as the string pulled the pockets away making them inaccessible. In the new pants the strings keep the pockets in place so they don't shift awkwardly while riding or when putting the pants on.

Royal Dist. didn't hassle me about going to a smaller size or wearing them out riding a few times as I saved the receipt and put the tags back on.

Update 5-11-2011

Hi [redacted],

Can you please reply with a phone number I can call you at to discuss a return arrangement? If you wish to call me I am at: 519-[redacted].

Many thanks,

Customer Service

I received another reply from Joe Rocket, they offered to make alternate return arrangements for my pants to save me the inconvenience of having to drive to and from Royal Distributing. I thanked them for their follow up and cordially informed them that I managed to exchange the pants. A- for their customer service, they lost points for a 1.5 day delay between replying to their e-mails and for suggesting (initially) a generally inconvenient and impractical way of resolving the problem.

Update 2:

Hi [redacted],

It sounds like things are all set. Glad to hear it worked out. Send me your address and I’ll mail some stickers to you.

Thanks for riding with Rocket!

Best regards, [redacted]

Woohoo stickers!
