Anyone know this helmet?

I remember seeing a helmet that had a custom fit system which would allow you to press a button and via some sort of system, pump up the pads etc to
give you a custom adjustable fit to your face.

anyone recall the helmet? Are there more like it now days?

My shoei is horribly uncomfortable in a myriad of ways and im looking for a replacement.

thanks

Scorpion EXO series of helmets with their 'Airfit' branded inflation adjustment system.
I’ve got a scorpion EXO, taking a long time to get it formed to my head.

Scorpion makes a few models with inflating cheek pads.

I wonder if part of the reason the Shoei doesn't fit you well is because you have more of a round oval head shape to the Shoei's long oval shape.

You'll know if it feels tight at the temples and cheeks but loose in the middle of your forehead. Put your helmet on and look in the mirror if there is a gap at all between forehead and padding or if you grab the chin bar and move the helmet around it should be moving the skin across your face i.e. your cheeks and forehead should be moving with the helmet.

It just feels like a torture device more often than not, the right side of my head is in intense pain after some miles, in addition the cheeks are always pushed in (@Lightcycle another layup) so more times than not, I end up biting my cheeks etc

I have a round oval shape as well. And Shoei helmets, especially the RF line has never fit me well. Either too tight at he cheeks and temples or if those fit I've got a bit of a gap at the forehead and I would imagine the back as well.

I find most HJC fit me much better. The RPHA11 fits me far better than the RF-1200. And I couldn't fit in a GT Air to save my life.

4 or 5 years ago LS2 had a lot of helmets with the pump system
Now these were $200 to $300 helmets

I have the RPHA11 Pro. I will just stick with what works.

Shoei did not fit as well for me. Similar fit as what you experienced.

owned/worn many helmets over the years
just bought a Shark full face as the Nolan is timed out and stinky

the Shark Spartan GT is an extremely comfortable helmet for my pumpkin shape (round)
fairly quiet and the opticals of the sunshade and visor are the best I've had

totally happy with the purchase

I have the same issue with Shoei. It does get better with time, but if your face is shaped like a pie, you're gonna be chomping out the skin inside your cheeks.

I have a Scorpion and Schuberth (both modular), much better fit. The Scorp feels nicer at rest, the Schuee is a bit tight on the forehead and comes down a bit further which can interfere with glasses (if you wear them), but it's very quiet,

It may be a bit of a generalization to say that you're a Shoei head, or an Arai head, or a Sh1t-head, etc.

Different models within the same brand might have different shell shapes and padding. You won't know till you try it on, and even then, you won't *really* know until you're an hour or two into your ride.

There are certain things you can do to make a new helmet more comfortable, you can stretch the padding using vices, clamps, books, etc. Dampen the pads a little bit before you stretch them. Some manufacturers also sell thinner pads for cheeks/crown that you can replace the stock padding with.

if you're too Scottish to buy the different padding options
and too impatient to let time break them in
I hear an iron on low setting and a cotton cloth can be used carefully to reduce the thickness of cheek pads

Here's my trick.
