Anyone got a wood splitter I could borrow

You should be happy with it I bought one as well on sale at CT, tried it out today on some maple I had to split...works great and will be using it at my Mattawa property with a generator.
Yes, got it all set up today and it is fantastic. It's overkill for my average use, but I wanted it that way... Just in case

I've got six or seven trunk pieces to split. They've got to weigh 300 pounds each and I couldn't lift them onto a splitter if I had one that would handle the diameter, 24+ inches. I just want the pieces light enough to throw over the fence to the neighbour.
If I make a ripping cut half way through, a wedge and sledge does the job. My 120 volt Homelite does a decent job on cutting. A buddy came by to help yesterday with his 18 volt Milwaukee and we were neck and neck on speed. He wanted a plank so ripped a four foot by 16 inch log in half lengthwise. It took about five minutes and the battery was still alive, but barely. Add to that he was using a cross cut blade.

With trunks that big we just set the splitter to the vertical position, roll the log to the splitter and start at it from every side.

Eventually it starts braking down to pieces you can lift.

9 Ton splitter is working well, but it has one issue.
It is designed to be used with two hands (for safety) one hand must hold power button in on position and the other hand worked the valve for the cylinder. This is keep your hands away from the wood and the splitter components. While it is a pain, I understand the reason behind it.
So, with this setup it makes splitting kindling a little difficult as the smaller piece's move around and I'm unable to hold them. These pieces are maybe 2" - 3" square. Anyone have any luck with a wall mounted manual splitter for splitting kindling into smaller sections?
They all show them splitting logs WTF !?! but I'd use it for kindling splitting..

I just use an axe for kindling. If the kids want to help, I have something like the pic below. They can hit wood with another log or a little sledge. It is far slower than using an axe but safer for them as the sharp edge is protected. Where are you burning all this firewood? If its a Wood stove in the house, you don't need much kindling as if you stoke it at night, you can start with logs in the morning.

Yes for the stove in the house. I just want a stock pile at the ready..

Cheap upgrade?

Would a foot pedal/switch work instead? Still requires manual activation but it frees up a hand?

This will be my solution, just strap the wood in position.
