Anyone else a huge fan of the pumpkin beers like myself??

I'm a big beer fan/snob. If you're a traditionalist about beer then you might not have tried Belgian ales. Many of them are just plain ingredients but there's others brewed with coriander, orange peel, licquorice, and many others. Most of them don't taste like the ingredients that are in them, Kwak the licquorice beer for instance, but they are all delicious and ridiculously potent.

Thats what alot of people do not understand... they think it will be this mouth full of whatever flavour is being advertised. You can love beer and also love variations of it. The basis is still beer!
I have had those belgians and although not all I have tried some great ones.

Apart from the Coors and Budweiser bollocks..there's only one real beer I've tried that I really can't stand and that's Rauchenbier, German smoked beer...tastes like it was filtered through a smoking pub's ash tray at closing time. ****ing vile.

Good to know.. will remove that from the list! lol. If you are a beer lover, you should check out premier liquors on maple ave in buffalo. Its right beside the boulevard mall. There beer selection is ridiculous and can get growlers filled with whatever is on tap at the time.

I've had some good ones. Mill St. Nightmare on Mill St. Is tasty.

Anything pumpkin flavoured is revolting. Pumpkin is one of the most rancid, sickly tastes I have ever had the displeasure to try. If the devil himself was to sneeze, his snot would taste , and look, like pumpkin.

Can't say I've ever liked any kind of flavored beer. I want my beer to taste like beer.

If you are a woman living in Europe, go for it. Anyone else shouldn't be drinking it. ;)

Most of the Belgian ales flavoured with stuff are around 8-9% alcohol....I'll leave you to your womanly IPA ;)

My favourite beer is called Delerium Tremens from Belgium...comes in a grey bottle with pink elephants on it...9% alcohol....very rich flavour (it's not a flavoured beer, just a Belgian Trippel I think).

You are insane!! Pumpkin is the shiznit my friend!! Pumpkin pie!!??? whaaaaaat?? unless you are a robot you must like it! some pumpkin cookies... pumpkin bread and of course pumpkin beer... all forms of greatness! Go eat a green pepper sucka!

I don't drink purely for alcohol content or I'd just buy some 40s. I'm not an alcoholic.

Tremens is pretty good. Haven't had it often.

When I lived in the UK I used to do a trade show in Kortrijk every year. Around early November it was. Just as the breweries were coming out with their winter and Christmas ales. Every different beer had it's own glass. And the glasses were works of art on their own.

A great trade show but we never did much business before noon.

Must admit..I've got a few of those glasses. Some are nuts...like the round bottomed one in its own stand.

Cheers, I'll give that a try...although above 9% the beers start to taste a bit treacly I find.

Another favourite is Aventinus Dopplebock and the LCBO gets that in a fair bit. Bloody lovely and easier to find than Tremens.

wish i could find it though
