anybody study know or is a grafic designer ??????????????

hey guys, considering going back to school for... you guessed it grafic design , wondering if any of of you guys have experience with it. im concerned it will be very difficult to get a job after school

Best advice is, get in to a skilled trade, such as , electrician, plumber, gas technician ect. I'm a G1 gas tech and have been in it for 22 years, gone through 2 recessions without any affect what so ever. I have enough work in my truck to last me over 1 yr, but unfortunately it has to be done faster then that. I get more work handed to me every day. Recently I had to tell my office I couldn't take more work from them, which sucks because I am a contractor, but is good because it means I am too busy.

Yep, construction and trades is pretty lucrative and if you're good, you're busy.

But its hard, dirty, and relatively thankless work. Its also high pressure and always rush rush rush.. not to mention the industry seems to attract all the biggest snakes and liars in the world.

The money is hard earned.

I still wouldn't advise anyone to get into the field of graphic design. It's over-saturated, underpaid, and clients don't know the difference between a "real" graphic designer and some loser who knows how to do a lense flare with Photoshop.

You gotta do what you wanna do.

Sure some professions get paid more than others, easier to find work etc. but if I gotta do it for 50 years, I am just gonna pick what I like the most.
