Anybody own a v rod?

Enjoy the new ride! V-rods are difficult to classify, but those who own them sure do love them.

I personally haven't tried one, because any of the newer models at the demo days have forward controls (which I simply can't reach). My wifey tried one though, and absolutely LOVED the power and feel of the bike, but after a 15-minute ride didn't really appreciate the 'clamshell' riding position.

Although the bike is already 10 years old, I think it's important for Harley to *attempt* to innovate and re-invent itself. The V-rod was clearly a success, and I'm curious whether or not they'll take the risk and create something a bit different than the same-ol' same 'ol.

You will love it OP. Enjoy your new bike.

Yes I do,good call! The bike is de baffled (v mod)and a little loud but sounds awesome.I'm also a little worried it's running lean but will look in it soon, either go back to unmodded stock pipes or have it tuned if not done already. The service rep says It wont cause any harm to the bike unless I start red lining it. I have to try and fined an owners manual for it soon as well.Put over a hundred miles on it last night

Harleys run very lean from the factory. If it's been modified, I'd get it tuned in the fairly near future.

Your other option is to get a power commander III. That way if you choose to do any mods in the future, just upload a new map and away you go.

One thing I am noticing is when hot there is a slight jolt when letting out the clutch in first.Typically this happened on all my other bikes and cable adjustment at the clutch at the lever would fix it.What do you do on a hydrolic clutch?Had a friend tell me it could also be oil related(too thin). When I bring it up most riders have no idea what I'm talking about or say it's drive line slack which I find strange.

Not sure....try asking the guys over at 1130cc.com. Trying doing a search there first, the trolls there are vicious. :)
