GOPRO vid is up!!!

The first two sessions are in Green, the second two in yellow
Remember, in green, you're only allowed to pass on the two main straights (12 to 1, 1 to 2), no passing in the braking zones on those straights either Yellow group you were allowed to pass in all four straights including under braking
Here's the track map I made for people unfamiliar:

Yeah, I was pushing as hard as my tires would let me. Love these S20's, they really tell you when they are close to the available traction limit!!!It was freezing out there.. couldn't build heat in the rubber at all. Most crashes i've seen all summer. Watching the video he doesn't seem to going fast but if you knew how slick it was you would appreciate the speed.
I like the wobbles, lets me know I'm on the perfect amount of throttle making the front very lightJamie saw a couple speed wobbles invest in a damper.. makes life easier and safer
My 07 R1 came with a steering damper stock. Are you saying after 15,000km's it might be shot? Or did/does it just totally suck because it's the stock one?

Are they only $200-$300? I thought the last price I got on the Ohlins factory mount replacement was $680 ish?! I'll have to check on them again. My gixxer came with stock damper, which was crap. I took it out, opened up, filled it up with 15w fork oil, bled until no bubbles of air at all----what a difference! The aftermarket dampers are really good and adjustable, but if you don't want to spend 200-300+, just rebuild the stock one. Makes landing those wheelies better too
Yep, it's an electronic damper. I can adjust it with my ECU flash device, it has settings from 0 (disabled) to 30 (says highest setting). I tried it on 0 and you can barely move the handlebars, at ANY speed! But no matter what number I put from 1 to 30, doesn't make a difference I can notice. I'm thinking there might be something wrong with the speed sensor/activation, ever since I installed my speedo healer, the damper seems to be doing nothing. I guess I'll pull the speedo healer and see if she shakes as bad.has nothing to do with mileage, more a matter of performance.. it's like the new zx6rs with the Ineffective ohlins dampers.. If i'm not mistaken the 07 r1 has speed sensing electronic dampers.. on the straight at cayuga that thing should be dialed up .. I would rebuild or get an after market..

They are full on regular dampers, just come with the "stock location mounting kit", what makes you say they are inferior?!Those are oem replacements.. not worth it .. if you going to spend the money get the real thing
I ordered the HyperPro RSC in red, to match my mismatched red adjusters on my levers. Luckily the damper will hide inside the front pretty good $299 plus $15 shipping. Absolutely can't pass up that deal!Damn, now you got me all excited too.... :clown: I'll tell on you to the wife tonight :laughing9:
