Apparently Uber has a vetting problem in Kalamazoo. One of their drivers was shooting people between runs.

Just strange that you never hear of a cabbie shooting random people between customers. Or any of the professions you mention either. Of course it's just a one-off, but it's strange that it happened to be a Uber driver.

With the amount of unemployed or part time, min wage youth etc. Uber provides a way to make money quickly without much effort to get started.

No one in their right mind should consider it as a career move, but as we move towards a higher cost of living, there is a steady stream of people willing to work for an extra 200 bucks.

Uber has done an excellent job of capitalizing on this.


I know a long list of people who would take up a side job for a few hrs a wk for quick cash. Problem is, those are hard to find and keep silent.

If I had to deal with the general population on a daily basis I would also go in a shooting rampage. I am surprise I make it to work and back home without going to jail.
