Any one know how to use a pitbull (forward facing handle) rear stand?

I got the new pitbull rear stand but I can't get my bike to lift up on the spools. The guy in the video must not have had an engine in that 250, the way he did it:p...

I got the hooks of the stand to align with the spools but it looks like I need to use a lot of force to lift the rear end up. I'm sure I'm doing it wrong cause with leverage I shouldn't have to use so much force

Any one have any experience with ( forward facing handle) rear stands??

If it lines up it shoudl be fine. make sure that the hooks are raised all the way maybe your wheel is hitting the bottom bar. After that use as much force as necessary or have someone watch you do it and see if it's getting caught up on something. shouldn't be tho.

just saw the video again..the hooks are all the way up. Looks Like I need to lower them just so that the wheel clears the bottom bar for maximum leverage...

Should be able to lift it no problem. I lifted all my bikes with that stand with the lifters at full top no problem. Just made it easier to work on that little bit higher.

Takes a bit to get used to, but they work well. Keep your fingers away from the end of the handle, it slams down hard. Lol.

If you're having trouble getting leverage, lower the hooks. Like you realized, the goal is to get the tire to clear the bar so that it can rotate freely. Higher than that is a waste of effort. Once the spools are hooked, you can put your foot on the bottom bar to help further, and expect the bike to roll forward a little.

Some bikes like bmw and ducatti use the stand with the adapter going into the centre hole in the wheel.. So easy and convenient.

I have one for sale in the classifieds :-)
