Any HVAC guys??

Thanks @Kawyman Jumped the Tstat and the burner kicked on. Really surprised. The new simple (dumb) bimetal tstat doesn't work. What is there to go wrong??
I'm going to re-install the programable stat add new batteries and see what happens??
Question how do I reconnect the programable? I have the two wires coming from the valve and my choices are "Y" "W" "G" "RH" and "RC"
"RC" and "RH" are currently connected with a red jumper wire.

There was a section of tstat wire added to run it far enough from the heater (2 sets of marrettes between tstsat and furnace) Reconnected the old programmable tstat deleteing that section and it's working fine now.
Just crappy connections?? (A smart friend says it's usually something simple....)
Regardless I now have heat. Thanks again All!

R and W for heat,

You can go for either RH or RC if there’s a jumper
