Any Bluetooth options for full face helmets?

aside from buying bt specific helmet, does anyone make a headset which has a mic that works under yoour full faced helmet?

Looking for something I can use as a headset for my iPhone, and also BT for taking calls for work

Do a search here (use google if you need to) and you will find dozens of threads.

• Sena SMH 10
• scala Teamset 4

Seriously

i did search, but pretty mucgh all the ones I came up with seem to either a) require a specific helmet or b) are too large/bulky to wear under the helmet. Will check the two you mentioned. Thanks.

Scala is leader - they don't go under a helmet - they sit on the outside
Speakers in the helmet ( don't expect music quality )
Boom mike tucks under chin piece or Scala has a specific mike for closed face.

There is nothing that will double up as a headset for your iPhone and go under a helmet.
Buy a Blue Parrot Heavy Duty if you want long life and rugged.

Exceptional noise cancellation, very durable and stays on your head.

I have a Q2 forsale - one unit two helmet bases. $100
Happy with the G4

I use the Scala Rider G4.. very happy with it. Except for the fact that it just broke so I have to send it in for repairs

I would like to find something for open face helmets... anyone know a good one?

bugs the thread posted above details my review of mine. 2 units I bought are going strong after a year. $50/each. iphone/android etc music + phone + intercom.
some people bought them from other sources than the place I bought it from and then had issues, but me and friends that bought from DX, no issues. have a look

I use the Scale Q2 multi set. Not a bad unit overall and it is a reasonable price. I replaced the boom mic with a wired mic kit (sold by scala for $50 per helmet). It tucks in very nicely.

Overall Sound quality: 7/10
Filtering external noise: 8/10
Price: 7/10
User Friendly Controls: 4/10
Battery Life: 10/10
Blue Tooth Phone Calls: 8/10 (Callers don't know I am on a motorcycle)
Install: 8/10 (5 minutes - all tools included)
Range: 8/10 (about 1 km with the second rider)
Music mp3 playback: 4/10

Overall 7.5/10

Go with the scala q2 or the g4 if you require to pair with more people.
I bought mine just for a couple trips I was doing & it came in handy and last the whole day we were riding.
Only issues I have with it are the battery dies really quickly when you are listening to music ( I suggest earbud for music in one ear instead)
And that you need to find somewhere good to hide the mic cuz wind noise activates it.

You can get for extra 50$ or so- wired mic for scala or sena. Then install the boom mic( stock) in your extra helmet or sell it in ebay.

i have sena and happy about it.

I use my Scala open face ( good windscreen ) and the G4 is fine up to 120+
The Q2 okay as well but the damn vox beeps in cross winds.

I have the Scala G4, great unit if it works. Know a bunch of people that got bad units.

I personally had one speaker not working on the boom mic/speaker unit, sent it in for warranty repair and asked to get the corded MIC instead. They traded it in with no issues.

My 2 cents

What broke on the G4?? ( just want to keep an eye out for issues )
It worked great for the first week or so, but then it wouldn't take a charge and wouldn't turn on. Cardo have been great about it though, one simple call and I got an RMA issued so I just gotta mail back the unit and they'll send me a new one
