We are doomed! these guys might even come outThe road damage from this winter will be the worst we've seen in years. Be prepared for sand covered and pot hole ridden roads with clean up and repairs not completed as quickly as we would hope.

Bear in mind we always get a random snowfall in April. If we get ride able temps in April I'd be pleasantly surprised

What does long term forecast say?
It supposed to snow on wednesday. Below zero on Thurs
According to Jennifer Francis, a climate expert at Rutgers University, the Arctic air has warmed in recent years as a result of melting polar ice caps, meaning there is now less of a difference in temperatures when it hits air from lower latitudes.
"The jet stream is a very fast moving river of air over our head," she said Saturday at a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
"But over the past two decades the jet stream has weakened. This is something we can measure," she said.
As a result, instead of circling the earth in the far north, the jet stream has begun to meander, like a river heading off course.
This has brought chilly Arctic weather further south than normal, and warmer temperatures up north. Perhaps most disturbingly, it remains in place for longer periods of time.

Anybody still think we will not get a bit of snow in April?
To add to the whole jet stream theory, scientists have noticed a decrease in the sun's activity in the past couple decades, leading to a cooler earth. As such, global warming appears to have 'stopped' 15 years ago (seriously, look that up, even the climatologists will admit it, and it's why they're changing the name to 'climate change'). It's at least possible that global warming may not only not be an issue, but be the key to surviving a mini ice-age, when growing seasons are shortened significantly.
Maybe the sun is burning out? The sun has a lifespan of a couple billion years I believe

I'd like to think everyone on this board would be dead BEFORE that happens lol
Well, the mechanism of the sun getting cooler isn't unknown, it's just solar cycles. Every couple hundred years the sun goes through some changes. I'm no physicist, so I don't know the specifics, but there was an approximately 100 year period from the 1700's to the 1800's that had some seriously harsh winters, similar to what we had this year. That's not to say there weren't warm years then too, but the average was just colder, which caused shortened, but not nonexistent growing seasons.
Not saying anything for sure, because again, I don't know, but these are some things I've read about.
