stabilizer in cold weather storage has more to do with condensation than beakdown
temp swings from night to day will cause the gas to expand-contract
as the temp drops and the gas contracts the tank takes a sniff of that damp air
repeat this 150 times and there's a lot of humidity exposure
the stabilizer makes the gas less hygoscopic
ethanol gas is the biggest concern, the alcohol in it is highly hygroscopic
