Android box - IPTV provider?

So my IPTV subscription just expired. Can anyone recommend a reliable provider that can hook me up with a reliable server?

How much do these things cost usually? I’ve been getting by with the free selection on The Crew and we don't watch scheduled live tv much anymore anyway.

I've been really satisfied with Buzz TV from Smartech in Pickering. I have had several other IPTV providers in the past but the Buzz TV configuration is really seamless and most like the big TV providers.

There is a distinct difference in service reliability between hardwired and wifi boxes though - the former being far better if that wasn't obvious enough.

Any stuttering or freezing of the pic or delay in loading the EPG?

Do these services work on firesticks and nvidia shields? Might be time to get rid of robbers

Thanx..my box is a Buzz box and I have BuzzTV....up till a few days ago...will check them out.

My hardwired devices have few issues. My wifi device can be irritating at times but I think it is a matter of my signal and not the service itself.

about 150 per year for the TV channels and about 120-250 for a box

Luckily I have had no stuttering due to using the wireless connection...but frequent stuttering due to poor server speeds, but the Canadian TV channels are usually OK. Frankly I have wanted to chuck the thing out many times. The apps for movies and TV series are often useless and I dont like having to keep it tuned to the channel you want to schedule a recording from. More 1st world problems.

Dunno about the paid services. I don't really watch scheduled TV anymore so I don’t think it’s worth it for me. The Crew on Kodi has a pretty good IPTV set up. Sports Devil seems to have a great selection of m4u links for various sports but you may have to rummage among the links to get a decent one.

I use the usual morpheus clones for movies and TV shows and also prime etc. But the missus likes a bunch of shows on channels like slice, hallmark, paramount etc so doesn't want to get rid of live TV without a suitable replacement.

How many devices do these subscriptions usually allow, I have 4 tvs atm..

Unfortunately only one per but you can move the box from tv to tv. Bit of a PITA that way though.

Yikes... at $22US a month per tv that would be more expensive then rogers ...

Freddy, you should take a look at the Formuler boxes. The Z8 and newer boxes all come with a proprietary app MyTVOnline2 which is great for live tv, movies, series and recording. EPG is incredible too.
I have a multi-line sub and with the Z8 I can watch one channel while simultaneously recording another.
You can set a scheduled recording and turn the box off. It will wake up and record and then shut off after the recording is complete.
Also, you can set up a recurring recording like a weekly show.
A long list of other cool features.

I’ve seen plans for single line and also multi-line up to 4 devices.
Providers offer better pricing on multi-line plans and longer terms (quarterly, semi-annual, and annual).

If you’re in a household where all 4 lines will be watched at the same time, you would need a multi-line sub with 4 connections.

If you have 4 tvs in the house but a max of 2 tvs are watched at the same time, then a multi-line sub with 2 connections would work.

To keep hardware costs down, you can pick up 4K firesticks from Amazon (they often go on sale).

I have two of them on tvs that don’t often get watched, and two formuler boxes on the two tvs that are most used.

If the idea of black market streaming is distasteful discovery+ will allow Canadian payment and with a VPN you are looking at around $10 mo with a fair bit of content and no commercial spots.

Any recommendations of a good service that doesn't go down or buffer all the time?

Unfortunately no. Both my providers are now well-positioned out of the mainstream public eye…and they are both closed to new subscribers at the moment. They like to fly far under the radar which is a good thing.

I can only suggest trying out some services with a free or low cost trial. Then when you think you have found a good one, take a monthly sub and see if the quality and support is there before committing to a longer term.
I honestly believe I got lucky with who I found and when I got in.

On another note, I also have a Tablo Quad network PVR hooked up to an antenna on the roof for what is the equivalent of free basic cable…always good to have an option if the internet ever goes down. Can watch or record up to 4 different channels via the Tablo app on a multitude of devices. Has port-mapping functionality so you could theoretically watch tv/access recordings from anywhere on the planet that there is wifi or cell phone service. It’s a cool piece of tech.
