For those of you didn't watch...coles notes

He was showboating a little too much and taunting Weidman for the first round; in the second he proceeded to slip a couple punches feigned damage then took one clean to the kisser and down he went....so ends a legacy. Anderson was going in on a 17 fight win streak and considered the #1 P4P and GOAT whereas Weidman was 8-0.

That showboating is part of his plan to get into the other fighter's head... obviously it didn't work this time. Its worked lots of times before though. Fun fight- at least with Silva we were always guaranteed entertainment. Unlike Jones and GSP..

No F-ing way! Awesome! I've been waiting for someone to take out that cocky son of a *****.

+1
That's what you get for acting like a big shot idiot.

It's funny seeing all the AS nutthuggers claiming he wanted to lose. I was losing it when that piece of **** finally got what was coming to him. Hopefully he goes out like Fedor did and fades into obscurity.

I'll be in to see that rematch and watch how fast Silva wins.

Did you listen to him after the fight?
He told Rogan that's he is not going to fight for the title again, yet he has no plans to retire.

It seems like a small jab knocked him out? Wtf?
Staged?

Me and my friend talked about that awhile ago. He said the UFC wouldn't risk their reputation and have fighters take a fall, oh.... and boxing wouldn't lol? If it's a sport, and it's organized, and money is involved, you better believe people are going to take bribes.

Ya, his speech at the end left a lot of unanswered questions. He almost seemed relieved that he didn't have the belt anymore.

It was more than that but even a "small jab" from a pro fighter can do a lot of damage and it doesn't take an epic hit to knock someone out.

If you read/watch his comments in the days leading up to the fight, Silva seems as though he "doesn't care" anymore.
He should have just hung it up at the top.. .i was surprised when i heard about his contract renewal and I assume Dana White threw an unreal compensation package at him. As Dana explicitly said in the post fight conference. This loss caused a lot of $$ loss for not only Silva, but GSP and Jon Jones as well. No more superfights.

Although Chris deserved to win, he didn't look like a superstar. He beat Anderson Silva on what looked like Anderson's worst day.

I still wouldn't put money on Silva even if there was a rematch. He just doesn't look like he has the will to fight anymore. If I had to guess, I'd say there was a bigger issue at play that's keeping him in the octagon.
