I remember I helped friend's brother (white guy) move right from the tallest building right on the corner of Jane and Finch. Somebody always had to stay with the Uhaul truck.
His brother was saying that it's pretty rough in that area but not that hardcore as everyone thinks.
Another thing. It was in July and you see these low lives wearing winter jackets lol
Still they are a lot of talk.
 
that vid is over 7 years old. there's been several clean ups in the neighborhood since. i haven't been around there since about 2008 but it wasn't much like that by that point in time. still a crappy place to live, but it keeps rents down for international students coming here to get their iphones stolen at york.
 
Wasnt that video on the news a while back ? And didnt they make arrests after the police saw the video?

You wonder what the cops are doing? Their guns & gangs units watch this kind of **** all the time. The fact that gangbangers are complete egomaniac idiots and make videos like this is very useful for the police.

Last time I was at Jane and Finch it was an almost all Italian middle class working community. Used to go to my friends house after the clubs to eat some of him Nanas home cooking.
Never worried about walking down the street at night.

really? the cops themselves will tell you that these clowns are back on the street before they even complete the paperwork.
the police aren't the problem, its the weak judges who pretend like these guys can be rehabilitated and won't reoffend. meanwhile every time there's a shooting the fellow who was just about to turn his life around already had priors for weapons offences, has been banned from possessing a weapon etc etc... our justice system is a complete joke

It is not in their interest to solve this problem. They would all be out of jobs.
