Airport road

Apparently the one woman is a Peel Regional constable.
Does anyone know what happened there?
Head-on - somebody was passing somebody?
Yeesh.
Elephant Sized Vehicle strikes again...

Yikes... GWS.
Sounds like a head on at fault of the SUV, if it collected the 2 bikes behind her.

I think she's at fault. The SUV has minor scrapes along its side, her bike is totaled. No charges laid against the SUV driver. I believe that she crossed the center lane and side swiped the SUV. In most cases there would be charges laid against her, but since she's dead there's no point.

This is why there is no left track blocking position on a 2-lane highway for those of you who insist on riding near the center divider line.

Could you clarify?

Re the rider, RIP. She was an off duty cop out riding and one of us. Until we hear otherwise from an eye witness we can't say what happened. Gust of wind, blown tire, dodging an animal, target fixation are all possibilities. What happened to the other riders is also speculation at this point.

What is the proper lane position on a 2 lane road? I always thought left track as this rider may have been doing.

RIP rider..,

From my sourse, I hear that she hit head on and then was ran over by the second bike.
Was alive overnight, but passed away in the morning.
Further details are unknown as of now.
There was a third rider that escaped injury.
Let's wait to hear what he has to say.

Yes, she was off duty.

R.I.P rider.

I was thinking this too which is why I hate doing group rides on 2-lane highways. Normally if I see oncoming vehicles I'll move over to the middle of the lane and if it's a truck over to the right tire tracks. Even cars do this.
