Was shopping for a lid today and found the AGV K6 ($632) . It's a carbon fibre helmet so it's quite light and best of all I can get it in plain white. One of the few makers whose willing to paint CF it appears.

Anybody got one? Any good reason not to pull the trigger?

Yep, both myself and @Soulcatcher668 have that helmet, it was really good. Very light but also relatively noisy due to the carbon weave.

Who's got it on for $632?

Does Timtune have an extra small head? Price is good but only XS at that price.

Even at a price difference of $150, I'd probably buy it local. I appreciate being able to look at/try on helmets as well as check date before I buy them. I won't be that guy that tries on at a local store and then orders from a cheap online source. If I am buying online, I am taking the risk that I don't like it or it is old.

I was told it's quiet due to how snug it fits around your neck (theres a large collar)

He has a size small with HJC but the medium felt much better today with the AGV.

Yup, seen that after i posted it

That's my new helmet also.
Very light.
Noisy is also accurate.
Visor doesn't get blown open or shut from any position and it locks cracked and fully closed.
It never fogs up. That's very important to me. I hated my Shoei RF1400 and HJC RPHA-11 for both fogging and having floppy visors.

+1 for plain white.

When he said it's quiet I was like "well that's not really important since I always ride with the visor up"
I also ride with visor up.

Last couple of days I’ve been riding visor down, actually I find it comfortable after you run a mile or two with it down, and a lot more quiet

Have a plain white (with blue visor!) K6 S. Love it! Light, comfortable, and a great field of view. With earplugs I don't find the noise to be an issue at all.

Paid about $650 all in (incl. duty, shipping etc.) for the helmet and visor last year from Champion Helmets.

What does the S mean? I saw fortnine had S and non-S.

I have one. I like it. I found that installing the pinlock stresses the visor outward, reducing the friction on the hinge. I put a couple of drops of the included silicone hinge lube into the joints, diligently following the maker's recommendation. That combination made it difficult to keep it open. As soon as you get any speed up, the visor shuts by itself. Annoying in the heat of summer. So annoying that I bought an AGV modular for the hot weather. GP Bikes puts them on sale once in a while.

The K6 is a great helmet. It just did not fit me properly. Pressure point right in the middle of the forehead.
I like the visor mech better on the K6 than on my current RF1400 (only complaint that I have with the 1400)

If the K6 fits you properly, at that price, you cannot go wrong.
