Ugh.....I have never been able to reset my trip meter while moving! But if you don’t reset it, good luck guessing when your tank is empty!
Today I averaged 10.5 L/100.... man I love this bike!
I've got a technique using my index finger that works on a decent road, but not always on a bumpy one.
Hey, my F-150 does 13/100km, so pretty good by comparison.
can't use controls while moving? italians ?
You can, but resetting the trip means pushing the tiny little joystick straight in for a couple seconds. It's not stiffly sprung, so on the move it's easy to have it move to the side, which opens other options, like the track timing screen. I've gotten a lot better at resetting on the move, as stated above, but it's a lot harder when it's rough.
It's easier to just do it at the gas station, and I figure this is a good way to inspire me to not forget...
wait what? No fuel gauge? I thought that was just a ducati thing
Not on the old ones, but I've heard the updated 2021 one might get a gauge.
People get all bent about it, but it doesn't bother me in the least. The bikes with fuel gauges I've used have been comically inaccurate, so a tripmeter reset becomes critical anyway if you're worried about where the next gas stop is.
What I don't enjoy is when the fuel light comes on, you'd best head straight for the closest gas station, as it doesn't give much more than 20 km to empty, and a lot less if you're caning it. I'm used to it now, but I cut it awfully fine the first few times.
