I was riding on highway 7 over newly paved black roads last summer. It felt like the bike was on ice. Anyone have any input if those roads are more slippery? I always see black tire marks where the newly paved road ends and connects to the old, looks like oil from the new road.

wait a minute... fresh asphalt in summer temperature and you were slipping? you may need new tires
Brand new ashphalt is slippery as snot. It sweats oil.
yup - so do those black tar snakes when it gets hot....unreal slippy.
It's 37 during the day here in Aus and it's one thing I really have to watch for on the twists here.
