Accident at Hurontario/Burnhamthorpe on Monday...

In this type of situation you can get off your bike and take a look at the back of it. Then walk up to the car and ask what is wrong with your bike? After-all the light was red and they were honking they must have been trying to tell you something. Then you can tell them you didn't proceed because they honked at you to stop...

You're 100% right, but I could see who the driver was prior to my actions and that wasn't a concern of mine. I had some ****** in a Porsche cut me off once and not let me pass. I don't know why it happened. I don't recall doing anything to piss him off in my car. I had a Hyundai Excel at the time, so it's not like I was tailing him or anything. He stopped dead in front of me (I was surprised my brakes worked well enough to avoid hitting the guy) then his meathead passenger got out of the car. He had to be 6'6" and 300 lbs. I don't know how he fit in the car to begin with. He walked toward me so I simply backed up. He walked like 20 feet from his pal's dad's car before finally turning around. I know when to fold em..

My advice is shake it off and keep riding buddy, do that to some bi polar juice head on cocaine and the firefighters will also be tending to your injuries after he rolls you over.

You probably made that car driver quite uncomfortable when you started walking towards him/her. ha ha

But next time try to calm yourself down and just let small **** like this slide, otherwise you are going to go nuts.

It's because of riders like the OP that I no longer wave to other motorcyclists.

I am with you. I have on occasion under similar circumstances leisurely walked up to car and politely asked 'what seems to be the trouble Sir?' It seems to calm me down, although I am under no illusion that I have taught anybody anything.

This guy has some serious issues if that tiny insignificant incident actually made him that angry...

I've had people literally almost kill me and it barely elicited that kind of response. Dude is bada$$$$$$$$~!@

Not a good idea, because the other guy might get out too thinking you are approaching with a fight in mind.

Don't wanna be mixed up with the "wrong crowd"?

If you let people step all over you, eventually you'll be pushed right off the road, then everyone will be complaining about that. No big deal. I still wave to the HD choppers that don't wave back.
Oh, wait... Wrong thread...

You need a mod so you can attach a crow bar or tire iron to the side of your bike. You'll look more intimidating when approaching drivers.

Bottom line, was it the right thing to do? Maybe not. Was it the wrong thing to do? Not necessarily. Will that guy ever honk at a motorcycle again? Probably not. So for that, you're welcome.

what I have noticed from reading these posts while bored at work is that; it is usually the folks on the 125 or 250cc bikes that have all this beef with everybody...

and all this "cager" bashing, i bet that more than 98% of the riders on here or in general have a "cage", less formally known as a car, and they drive just as bad if not worst, but since they ride a motorcycle, they come to believe the world owes them something, then they come on this forum and cry that they saw someone texting while driving, or that some "cager" honked at them, or that other riders waved at them, or that a dog barked at them and that a squirrel ran across the street...

Only 9 million more current Ontario drivers to go, plus the 300,000+ new drivers that get their licenses every year.

I think your head will explode before you "cure" the problem of drivers honking at inattentive motorcyclists.

yeah, cause the jerk with the 1000 would have ran the red cause he's a 1337 4@x0r...

Serious over reaction man. The light was red yes, but you had at least 2 car lengths in front of you after those cars turned so you should have moved up, thats why the guy beeped. Moving up to the line shows you are ready to turn and not asleep. The firetruck and others were way off to the right so you would not be bothering them at all by going up to the line.

The car just gave a beep thinking you weren't watching so that you would both make it through when it did go green... Something that minor should not bug you. And if i were the guy in the cage and you got off walking towards me i would have seen that as a threat and got out too and it would have escalated all over nothing. Just chill...

One jerk at a time... Wave to my camera when you pass me!

Turn up the volume. I had just revved my engine when he honked. There was no rush. I didn't delay for an excessive amount of time. He didn't beep because he thought I wasn't paying attention. He beeped because he was impatient, hence why he threw his hands up in the air when I turned around.
If you view it as a threat, you get away from the situation, not exit your car to escalate the situation. You would have been just as wrong as me if that had happened.

And to further that last post, the Audi shouldn't have proceeded through that intersection as the light was red when he reached the stopping line. He should have stopped as well.

I fast fwd the rest of the video because I just wanted to see my 2nd turn into the Square one plaza.
When the guy honked the light was red. There is an accident and a firetruck as well. There was ZERO need to honk at me. I was so mad my hands were shaking. People like the inconsiderate c0cksucker behind me in the video make my blood BOIL. This is the 2nd time something like this has happened to me. The first time I actually blacked out and when I realized what was going on I had unlocked my car door, removed my seatbelt and had one foot on the asphalt. My ex was holding my jacket yelling at me to get back in the car. People have no consideration for anyone else anymore (for the most part). Everyone is in a big f'ing rush for me to move 15 feet up to a RED LIGHT. I wish the schmuck got out of his car. Then the firetruck could have called him an ambulance.

wow - I agree with the guy behind you is an idiot....but you got some rage issues....nothing is worth getting so mad, you black out and require someone else to restrain you....sometimes a verbal warning, not even yelling, is all you need...if they don't get it, they don't get it. No sense getting all vigilante on their ***.
