So this poor bike has been sitting on Simcoe St between Pearl and King W for over a year (sticker is MAR23). I walk past it on my way to work all the time.
It's even been moved around for some construction and put back where it was, knocked over a put back up.
From the look of the chain it hasn't moved under it's own power in quite a while.
There's a Yamaha scooter parked on my street for a few months, I'm tempted to pick it up and put it on the boulevard.
It has a plate on it which - even with the out of date sticker - will likely be on the Ontario provincial registry. Check to see its status and who owns it. Also look for the serial # on the bike to check if the plate is the one for the make, year and model of the bike. If you go by regularly take notof the odometer to see if it is just being parked by somebody who works locally and is still using the bike.

It's for sure not in use, exact same spot for months outside of it being moved for construction early spring, they just rolled it in an arc since the steering is locked. The Odometer glass is missing from being smashed and the chain & tank are rusty AF. I also pass by a different times of day cause of shift work, never moves.
I'm not spending time and money on finding out who owns it, more curious to see if anyone here recognizes it and knows/knew the owner. Brake/clutch and grips look personalized/customized. I'm guessing stolen & abandoned or owner passed away unexpectedly.

$20 and the license plate number or VIN (I'd use VIN as plates could be off a different bike)for a UVIP.
You get a list of present and previous owners, their city of residence, and a list of lien holders. Might help unless the owner is Bill Smith from Toronto.
If you know a cop, they might do you a favor and run the plate.
UPDATE: I kept forgetting to post, but the bike was finally removed late October. As I walked by I commented out loud and a dude standing next to his bike said he watched them take it away and offered to buy from them LOL.
