A loss of a good bike. =(

Yeah - like how does a thief just happen to find a garage with a ducati in there. Which was just bought... But not ridden?? It was probably trailered there and stored ... ???

Sounds like his neighbor (or someone in the neighborhood who watched him roll it in to the garage) just made a bunch of money.

Or someone at the dealership that happens to notice/talk to the owner/no plates no insurance. How did the Duc get into his garage without plates and insurance? Dropped off by someone, who happens to know this small detail.

There was a scam a while ago about ricers who would go to a shop for new rims and tires. They'd pay for them and get them installed. That night the car would have their wheels stolen. What a coincidence.

Or it could be merely a coinkidink, but I doubt it.

Personally I insure my vehicles before I take possession.

The guy that sold it, i will guess he also said he only had one key as he lost one of the originals.

I got my new bike about 3 weeks ago, don't ask me why but I had it without insurance fo the first 3 days at home, probably the most stressfull days I have had in a long time, i left work every 2 hours to go check on the bike and got up every 3 hrs, i kept saying to myself, watch be been one of the dumb ***** on gtam getting his bike stolen without insurance, i got lucky but it was just stupid on my part for poor planning

It does sound fishy, but all is just speculation on how or who. Just a dumb oversight thinking " yeah I'll get it home, set up my insurance, saftey etc, and were rolling." not in this society.

3 days and you were paranoid? lol...
I had my bike uninsured from fall last year till march this year, it was always a thought on my mind that somebody could just walk in and grab it... but there's always someone at home, so I wasn't bothered too much!

My thoughts are how can they destroy a garage door and have 4 ppl lift a bike without anybody seeing?

Unless he live out in the sticks

What difference does it make to a thief whether the bike he steals is insured/plated or not?

Bikes get delivered by truck all the time. Especially in the winter months. You don't need a plate or insurance to buy a motorcycle.
