friends, my buddy wants to sell me his 97 gixxer for 500 dollars. is this a good deal or no? it needs a new battery and he dropped it once and the frame is cracked. the bike is a 600 please let me know what you think.

its a horrible deal and you should slap your friend!

Weld up that sucker and you're ready to go. Go into the weeds that is when the frame snaps in half.
Means it's not worth getting it running. It doesn't need a new battery ... it needs a new bike!
If there is something on that bike that you can sell for around that money (is the engine good? forks? wheels? etc) then buy it, strip it for parts, sell what you can, and scrap the rest (including the frame).
I think I'll start using it on a regular basis... Yo koFFey, how's your 750-jick hangin'?

$250 - $400 for the motor
$100 - $120 forks
$100/ wheel each -
Gauges / electronoics - $100
Clipons/controls $50-$80
rear sets - $50-$100 / set
Rear subframe $50-$100
Misc + plastics + headlight - $350
So for a $500 investment, you COULD part it out for at least $750....you just have to sit on them for a while....

I heard the type of people that buy that bike are total jickheads.
They're always thinking their jick is bigger and better than the next.
Always wanting to show the girls their jick.
Always washing and polishing their jicks and making sure the fluids are cycled regularly.
Sometimes they have accidents with their jick and ejickulate all over the place.
