80s bikes... your favorite?

There was a few turbos in the wild but. These two seemed to be the bees knees.

80s 2 strokes street bikes are all in demand, already collectibles.

How about important 4ts?

I think for some of us older folks, thinking back at some of the older bikes we owned goes further than the bike itself. It's a reminder of what you were doing at the time, where were you riding, who were you riding with, who were you dating. I think a lot of that plays into the memory of the bike. People come in and out of our lives, and some of the memories are associated to the bike we were riding at the time, You think how much you enjoyed riding that bike, maybe because of the people you were riding with, or the girlfriend that was always on the back of that bike. It gives you a stronger connection to the motorcycle.

1984 V45 Sabre, slapped on a Hannigan Sport Touring Fairing and shipped it to England. Spent 11-1/2 months travelling through Britain, Europe and North Africa with my girlfriend (now wife) on the back.
1986 Kawasaki Concourse, when I got rid of it last year I had just shy of 330k on it. Other than regular maintenance, never an issue. Ended up replacing it with a 2002, only 100k

I have a lot of favorites from the 80s, but my number 1s (tied) are the 83 VF750 Interceptor in the classic blue/white/red, and the 84 VF500 in the wine red/white/blue. I had a picture of the latter in my locker. Just classic beauties that still look great today.

Other favorites were the OG Vmax, the OG Katana, and the OG Ninja. So many classics in the span of a few years.

Oh and my very first bike, a Suzuki DR100.

1981 Suzuki GS1100, my first street bike, was a great bike, I had fun beating up on my buddys with their 900 and 1000 Kawasaki's
Going to assume that my neighbor likes the GS1150EF, since he owns one.

Extremely tough, can't do it without more parameters.

I'd take a cheap running CB1100F, NS400R or a GSX-1100E (or S) if they were offered to me. The VF500F was pretty and advanced, but I didn't find it very exciting to ride

The era of the 750's deserves a mention. CB750F, GS750ES, FZ750 and the GPZ's were excellent sport leaning but versatile streetbikes and of course the original GSXR750 was in a class of its own.

I looooooooove **** like Suzuki putting a flip-up headlight on the 750 Katana. There is no good reason to do it, we just think it's cool
