Brutal, everyone dead (obviously). Sounds like 7 crew were on board. Its a cargo plane.

Looks like it either had an improperly distributed load or a cargo shift during takeoff.

Holy crap. Imagine the people on the bus...looked like it was gonna land on it.

I'm not sure what I would do if I saw that in real life. That's some scary stuff. Looked like the plane was just taking off too.

Every time I am in a plane and we are about to go, I think on what would happen if the plain stalled on the way up, then I feel better thinking that we are not to far from the ground and most likely it will be alright, you just **** my hopes up with that video

Takeoffs and landings are the most dangerous parts of flights.

I was thinking it looked like maybe the right side stalled and the left overpowered the drive??? Who knows...definately crappy!
I HATE flying.

The airline magazines seem to think taxi way travel and contractor loading is more accident prone... planes that cross paths on the taxi way, and clip wings,, or food vendors who pull up to a plane, and lift the truck box before the door is fully open... I just did a connecting flight,, the first one was cabin full of smoke on take off.. dump fuel in the hudson, and land... with a zillion EMS parked on the ground waiting to foam etc.. this is a very hard landing as they go in full throttle and slam it down.. then use all the brakes they have to stop a long way from population ,, keep the carnage away from the building.. at least we didn't have to evac as the issue extinguished itself ... reloaded into brand new plane,, 6 days old , hasn't seen a commercial passenger ... required emergency booklets to be passed out while we sat waiting for contractor to load the beer, peanuts, and other food... and they broke the rear door off.. an hour later.. 6 mechanics had duct taped the door in place,.. joked with me about 600 mph tape! ... and we headed to Miami... made the cruise ship wait an hour for us... last couple on board.. sucks! to understand how close to death.. or pontooning on the Hudson.. we were!

The pilot was out of the equation. It sounds by all accounts that a load shifted to the back of the plane which is why you see the horribly steep angle of takeoff... the load was heavy enough to overcome the ability of the flight controls to remedy the situation at slow take-off speed... they were doomed.

As soon as I saw "Afghanistan" in the thread title I just knew it was going to be bad.

I used to work in the airfreight business in the UK. Did everyone know that the hold of most passenger planes is full of similar cargo containers?

that looked like it fell from the sky like a terrible made paper airplane

"low altitude takeoff" that's pretty funny... don't they know they're supposed to take off at 20,000' ?!?

Load shift.

As soon as the plane is visible in the video, it's already stalled.

RIP to the crew.
