You guys are evil ripping on the poor girl...

"In total I dropped 10k on this bike, including financing interest." <--- This however is hilarious. :lmao:

LoL I didn't know those bikes cost that much! LoL

Im sure we have a lot of Fabios and models on this site so they rip on others...

Just curious...how many of you complaining about the price would sell the bike for $4800 if you could get over 5k?

I'm sure most would try to get top dollar for their own bikes as well. GTA bike pricing is as ridiculous as GTA home pricing....but only in the buyers point of view.

Selling over priced and trying to buy under value is the same. You are both equally cheap but expressing it in different ways

One party does not want to accept the concept of depreciation and is too cheap to take less money

The other party does not understand the concept of fair value and will always want for less because they hate to give money..

So be it.. Its a free market place.

I have sold 8 bikes.. All sold within 2 weeks. Why i priced it right... I ignored about 30 emails offering me ridicilous prices. Eventually a smart non cheap guy comes and gets a great deal

To be honest when you are selling a bike on kijiji you gotta put the price over market value because you will get low balled and atleast that way you get closer to market value but I don't mean this person's 300.

nope. price it for what you want for it. if the respone is less, delete the email. if you priced it properly, it should sell >2 weeks.

the reason used bikes are expensive, is that there are actually people willing to pay 5k for a used 300.

Not fair...I want to buy a BMW 2010+ for 20k all in....stupid sellers aren't respecting the laws of depreciation....

bikes, cars, and anything is only worth what someone's willing to pay for it. Hell if someone pays that girl her asking price, she's laughing. I think someone will pay it so they save on the dealership costs...asking to reimburse financing is stupid but hey...there's a sucker out there for it and if you never ask you'll never get.

I guess you can't explain economics to the ignorant. These are not on-off ads, it's the staple.
Clearly, there is enough interest (emails/txts/flakes etc.) at these prices. Whether it exchanges hands or not at these prices are another story.. for now, the ad prices are not going anywhere.

Here's how it works.

Last summer I wanted to sell my 2011 250. Pretty mint and shiny black, 17k kms, full 2bros system, fender eliminated not chopped, brand new pirellis, brake pads all that. It's black beauty.

I look at kijiji, everyone's asking 4500+. Ok, I list at 4400 so I'm the cheapest one. I get a few emails saying 1000 cash right now bla bla.
Drop to 4k. A few girls say they'll come look but never show. Low ballers keep coming.
Drop to 3700. Some guy phones from Peterborough and says he needs to sell his gixxer bla bla bla, trade something bla bla paypal bla bla.
Drop to 3400. Cash done next day, I deliver.

So the moral is: all those people asking too much aren't even getting calls. Just keep hitting them with *reasonable* offers and someone will bite.

Consider yourself lucky... 2011's were being cleared out @ $3,299 brand new at the end of last season.

I would put realistic value of a 2011, CBR 250 around $3k, especially after the intro of the 300 and 500 variant.
