I just put mine together this morning - SAE connecter which will connect to my leads from the battery tender connection to the battery. The other end is the PA USB connection. Done properly with soldered connections and shrink wrap. Would anyone be interested in me making up some of these? I would have to look at pricing of the SAE connector but figure $20? Pick up in Barrie or Concord during the day.

i use 2 of them running to a hardrive cable to power the gps. they don't produce enough power.
i have 4 of them. 2 on the bike and 2 spares sitting around.

It's not recommend to connect it right to your battery. The USB adapter is drawing power, even with nothing plugged into the USB port, so after a week or two of not riding your bike your battery will be drained enough not to start it
This is correct. They wouldn't charge my iPod properly but worked fine for my GPS and GoPro. I replaced them with an upgraded dual USB 2.1amp waterproof unit.

You can't use the weather cap with the USB adapter inserted, so you have to remove it/remember to bring it all the time (or keep it in a ziplock baggie in the trunk, etc.). I never had much luck with those griffin adapters in my car (some devices wouldn't charge from them, one of the ports quit working, etc.) so I didn't bother trying it on my bike.

They ship to Canada, if you had three or four buyers to split the slipping it'd probably be less than the gas/trouble to drive down and get em.
