4" PVC Delivered

How soon do you need it? It's not too far from my place just need to find a time.

Evenings is my only option next week. This weekend is jammed.
Early next week is what I figure, just have to get it in before they pour

What vehicle do you have? I can get 10ft lengths in my car with the rear seats down, even if your vehicle has them hanging out a foot or so with the trunk tied down it could work. Just make a couple of trips as they will not all fit at once. In your car if possible is Option 1.

Option 2 (best option IMO), buy a shorter length if they have them or cut them in the parking lot to a length that fits and just buy five more couplers. The extra couplers will cost less than renting a van or paying someone else time and gas! Cut in half to 5 foot lengths will fit in just about anything. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/pvc-bds-coupling-4-inch-hub/1000119217 at the end of the day it is just drainage...

At 10ft, they may or may not fully fit in the HD rental van as they may have the seating area blocked off.

Yes, I could get them in my vehicle, but I rather not.

They do not have them in 5'

My foundation thinks proper drainage is very important.

The foundation will not care about five extra couplers properly glued of course, if you go the cutting in the parking lot route.

We needed two yards of dirt a few weeks back. On sale in bags took a few trips in our VW, the car is no worse for it....

Need about 50' of 4" PVC (5 x 10' lengths) to extend downspout drainage under some concrete.
Does anyone know of a place that will deliver it?

My vehicle can't take material of that length and while I'll rent a truck to do it I am keeping this as my last resort.
Also, if anyone has a pickup and would like to give me a hand I'll happily pay for fuel + your time.
I know the HD near me has some in stock (but they do not deliver PVC) 15 minute drive away.

Thanks!
Where are you?
I've got a couple of trucks and I've got a supplier through work for PVC pipe, usually about 25% off retail.

I just checked with my supplier. 50' of 4" sched 40 PVC is $475 plus tax.

Edit:
Just re-read and saw this is for extending a downspout. No need for sched 40 PVC for that.

Slightly off thread...I'm going to need 1-2 yards of gravel soon. You think it's better to get them in bags than pick it up in bulk?

I think my 4x8 trailer will take 1/2-1 yard without issue...just need to install the walls on the trailer.

IMO better in bulk and delivered time permitting. Put a tarp down on the driveway and have it dumped there or get one of those giant bags delivered. Likely much cheaper that way as well.

Awesome thanks! Need to find a place that delivers. I think I saw about $150 for 1yrd delivery, and an additional $65/yard above that.

Cheapest will be your trailer (be careful with weight). Next will be dumped in your driveway (flat rate delivery so if you can convince some neighbours to buy from your pile the cost per yard drops). Yard sized bag will be about double the cost of a dump truck. Small bags will be most expensive.

I hear you and I'm not trying to argue, but I'd rather have as few couplings/joints as possible. This is running length wise under a 4'w x 25' concrete walk way handling 3 down spouts. We all know about Murphy's laws and I'm always the victim of them...

I believe the van has a 10' capacity. I know there is a lot of room left over when I've had to transport 4x8 sheets and I recall an employee saying it's 10'.

Sounds good. What type of gravel? 1/2" or 3/4" for under the shed?

I'll need enough to put under the shed (so 12x12x 3-4") and for the drainage channels (about 20ft x 1ft x 2)...

Math don't fail me now...3yrds required. Approximately. Whatever is left over I can use for landscaping.

To determine the amount of gravel you will need for your shed foundation first calculate the square footage. a 12×12 shed foundation, the square footage is 144. Next, multiply the square footage by the depth of gravel. If we use 4” of gravel, or 0.333 feet, our cubic footage is calculated as 144 x 0.333 = 48 cubic feet. Divide the number of cubic feet by 27 to find the number of cubic yards needed. In this case, 48/27 = 1.77 cubic yards of gravel.

¾” drainage stone is an excellent choice for your shed foundation. It’s also a good idea to add a fabric weed barrier beneath the gravel.

4" pvc like the electrician grey stuff?

any electrician can get you this and arrange to have their supply house to deliver it to your house.

send me a pm, I can probably get it done for you if you have a Gullevin supplier in your area?

Three yards will likely weigh between 7200 and 9000 lbs. Like @GreyGhost pointed out going to get it is cheapest but that is a lot of weight or a lot of trips. Based on the rates you noted delivered is maybe just under $300? for all three yards (seems like a no brainer to me if it works). The giant bags go for $250 per yard delivered, so $750. Smaller bags will be more than that, back of the napkin $330 per yard, so say $1000.

One item is logistics. They may have issues delivering if you have low hydro drop where you want it dropped. Dropping in the driveway will spread out and will block part of the driveway (or block the garage for cars) until you move it all. Giant bags are more compact to store (no spread) but same issue of blocking until moved. Small bags can be shuttled back and done in smaller lots as you bring them in.

Logistics may make one option worth the extra costs.

I'm in Georgetown, by the mall.

I have a truck.

I'm off this weekend.

That would easily fit on my backrack.
