4-cylinder 250's, Where can I find them?

Most of them are beaten up and good luck fixing than riding it. You know what funny? oversea where they can get these bikes in mint condition, yet they want our 600cc at the price that we paid......

I could import one for you. Usually I find bikes out of the UK as it's much easier for shipping. Finding parts isn't all that hard if you know where to look.

How difficult would it be to find one that is well maintained? Have you imported bikes many bikes from the UK? I would be interested in talking about the possibility a bit more. Trying to get it as a first bike.

The pic for the first 250 doesn't look like it was taken in Barrie in April

It probably wasn't. I emailed the seller a week ago and requested more pictures. I think the bike might have been sold already as I haven't heard back.....or its a scam.

Heard back from seller of this ad (http://www.kijiji.ca/v-sport-bikes/...50/1065688308?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true)

Hi,
It was serviced at SOAR (www.soaracing.ca) and snow city. I have the the paper work.
The fuel leak at the pitcock valve was fixed and kickstand spring was replaced. The part in the pic was replaced.
The battery is weak in cold weather.
The bike belongs to my wife, she road it for 700 kms.
It was cert. 700 kms ago.
She has the old fairings, it is black and has a small crack from the prevous owner.

Part that mentioned ---->

Any thoughts on how I should approach this?

I have one of those 4cyl 250cc bikes .... I personally would not pay more than 2500 for anything up to 1991 model. Assuming the unit runs and passes safety. If it doesn't the price would have to come further down.

Occasionally, you run into well restored unit, which commands more money and it would be up to you to decide whether it's worth the game ..... Only you can do that.

Also, I will say, what I always say in these threads .... If it's your only bike or you don't like wrenching and occasionally/regularly spending money to keep them going, spend your money on a different bike.

Do you have any pictures of yours?

Yep, I should be able to dig one up. Mine is FZR250, 1991 model. Bought it from Nuak ... 4 or so years ago.

I could .... But don't expect a bike which is 100% trouble free, mint condition because that is not what is. It's a regularly run unit, it has even track days under it's belt. It would be sold as is with a full disclosure, up to you to weigh in pros and cons.

PM me if you are seriously interested.
