I currently have a Adventure motorcycle ( Suzuki Vstrom 650) . I’m looking to add another motorcycle. However I’m confused on the riding style I should choose for my 2nd motorcycle. Please help

I also have a V-Strom 650. Since I'm not doing much dirt, I decided to get a bike that is faster than the V-Strom. I vote sport, but I have no clue what you are interested in.

Supermoto or grom

Your bike is more of a swiss army knife than an ADV. I would eliminate naked because the geometry is going to be too similar.

Cruisers with forward controls are going to feel weird coming from a Strom, IMO and all that.

Supersport/superbike make no sense on the street. Fight me.

My combo of choice would be a standard/naked and a cruiser with mid controls (Triumph Rocket III or HD Street Bob), but I'm not you.

My advice would be to make riding friends and try all the different styles for yourself.

My 4th bike used to be a VSTROM. It's now my first, my favorite.

Bike 2: FJR (probably need her to keep up on this year's Solstice ride)

Bike 3: GoldWing (really an OldWing)

Bike 4: DT250 Enduro (love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning)

Vstrom really is a swiss army knife ....which can tour and do limited off pavement and decent in the twists.
City fun I'd guess smaller lighter with power ...Super Moto - maybe KTM 690 or similar
ktm-690-smc-r-2021

323 lb eh.

Without knowing what your riding style is or what your intentions are with the second bike that’s an impossible question to answer.
It’s about the same as if you asked “What’s my second favourite colour?”
Give us some more information to work with if you want anything that resembles a helpful answer.

IMO it’s simple based on what you prefer, hah?

And your list is def not complete…

I’ll give you my “overview”

Do you like posing at Tims = Naked (bike, not you)
Only dirt = 250 dirt bike
VR46 fan = track bike
To be different (and slow) = Grom/scooter
To become a hooligan = Sumo
To become MaxWrist = Superbike
To become a Wild Hog = cruser

What would you need the new bike to do that the VStrom won't?

Buy a Wing and take the wife for a week.

I own a 2012 Vstrom, consider a sport/touring if you are the type of rider that takes stuff with you, may go for longer rides and want a more spirited drive. What I found lacking with the Vstrom is the 62ish HP, and the thrill of cornering and acceleration. Still use the V for backroad adventures which is a different thrill.
