So i was reading some posts regarding on changing the tires to something a bit bigger. According to this post

http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforu...idgestone-Battlax-BT-016-Tires-on-a-Ninja-250

the Bridgestonr BT 016 should be prefect enough? We have a 09 ninja and 12 ninja which should be fine i guess?

Now i was wondering where should i get the tires? I want to deal locally if possible and get it installed.

I am located in Toronto close to Yorkdale, if that helps.

Thanks

From when I used to own, and when I'd work on older 80's sport bikes, I have always, read, heard and believed that unless you are changing the wheels, you should stick to the stock OEM sized tires.

That's if you're going for handling. If you're just cruising and hanging out in Parking lots then go as wide as you want.

Alot of 250 riders are going with the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's....I got mine from Pete's Superbike (a vendor on this forum). Unfortunately I haven't been able to get out to test them yet

Heritage Auto should be able to order you tires as well as install

oh cool, heritage auto is close to my place. Would you guys suggest ordering tires and getting it shipped to shop/home or go to the shop and order from them?

Pirelli Sport Demons are the ones that you want.

There's a great article where they test Bias-ply tires.

The Perelli Sport Demons were good but wore quickly and got slippery in Track conditions. Having said that I had them on my old VF500 and they were fine on the street.

Apparently the Avon Roadriders are the best bang for buck Bias-Ply tires. I had them on my old 1986 VFR750 and they were great.

Bridgestone BT 45 are good bias ply tires.

Pirelli has little tiny radials - 110 front and 140 rear. Those are the ones you want...

I am also in the search of tires.. my issue is that I ride on rain (like today Monday March 11, 2013) and super hot and dry days.

I want something good (last more than 9000km) and sticky.

Miles plus sicky is probably an oxymoron. Sport demons are the happy medium probably. I'm getting more sticky rosso IIs without regard for miles... I just want to feel good riding right?

Michelin pilot power 2CT.
I put a 140 on the back, 110 on the front... Never looked back, great all around tire.
If you can buy them from the USA saves about $60.00

dude, you got no idea what you talking about....surely you did not put them on.
There's no 2CT in those sizes. Only Pilot Power, even then its a 110 front and 150 rear. If you don't believe me, before posting back go look at your damn tires. If you got what you say you do, please tell me where I can get em as well.

Easy does it dude!!
I copied the wrong link... I plan to get the 2CT for my GSXR.
I did get the Michelin Pilot Activ - 140 for the rear for my Ninja 250, and stock size for the front. The bike was sold last summer. They were purchased in the US.
Great all around tire.. Wet/Dry.

sorry...didn't mean to be rude. Pilot Activ are good too, but being a bias-ply they're in a completely different class from the Powers. I actually have a front with a Pilot Power rear, why...because I dented my rim and needed a new front tire, the rim I got came with a barely used Pilot Activ front so I kept it.
A lot of people tell you not to mix tires blah blah blah...I don't really believe all that. Not only did I mix tires but two different types, a bias-ply front and a radial rear, I've experienced no adverse affects and ride A LOT, and about as hard as the bike can go...
