When I picked up my old airhead, I hadn’t been insured for a motorcycle for a few years. Called NFP as they have my Spitfire insured with Hagarty and insured my bikes before. They poked around with a couple of quotes from Aviva and Economical. $1140 for aviva and 1247 for eco. This was emailed back to me. Wrote the broker back to go ahead with Aviva. Never got word back and I called them and emailed them twice for a total of 4 different contact points after the initial quote. I wasn’t going to chase them down to give them my money to insure the bike. I guess a motorcycle annual premium of $1100 and change isn’t much to warrant a call back 🤷‍♂️?

I called Desjardins as they have my auto and home. Previously they couldn’t touch the rates NFP quoted for bikes or classic cars. Agent called me back with a quote of $880. All are the same coverages of $2mill liability, value of bike at $5k for collision etc.

Got the liability slip same day I called. Never heard back from NFP and didn’t bother to tell them I got insured elsewhere. If they couldn’t be bothered to email or call back, it’s all good.

I got the same treatment from them.

I need to call around for new quotes for this upcoming season. I contacted nfp a few years ago and they said my bike was black listed and nothing they could do for me!
