2025 CSBK Schedule

Whoa. Only five rounds? Just as many in Alberta as Ontario? No Grand Bend or Calabogie? No Shannonville closer? Season over in early August?

I've complained in the past about it being the Ontario SBK championship, but this is unexpected...

Key word here is 'provisional' I think.
 
Do SOAR folks usually race the national? My understanding was there's been very few of you folks on the grid in the past few years.
More Pros than amateur usually show up at the home track. Last year Superbike was almost won by Steven Nickerson.

For amateurs it's a lot harder to convince yourself to do it as the one weekend is way more expensive than a regional round. That and most amateurs race 600s at SOAR, where csbk allows V2s and 750s in that class, so 600s don't really have a chance.

I know my sub 100hp 600 will get smoked, but also pretty confident I wouldn't be last in the pro field. I just wanted to do it for the pre-grid roll out.

I think this is more about CSBK trying to break out of their "Ontario National Championship" aura that everyone has said over the year.

Fact of the matter is nobody wants to pay to join a national to finish in the back of the pack. It's easy to be a big fish in a small pond.

Like I said, more Pros than Am.

Pro 600 had 6 Soar racers and Pro Super had 5.
Yes the amateur numbers were quite a bit lower than previous years. Am600 did have 3 from soar. 1 did opt to do the full csbk calendar last year.

5 rounds was the norm until last year. Ending at Mosport in August has happened a few times. 6 rounds with all the travel is very expensive.

Fair enough. I mostly stopped paying attention when I lived in BC, as it might as well have been BSB for how local it was. I can also see why Calabogie is off the calendar, as it's a trackday track, not an event track. Would still love GB to repair their grandstand, though, as it's good enough and certainly has the sightlines.

All in all, would love to see a GB round added and a traditional closer at Shannonville, but can understand why it's been shortened in Ontario to accommodate the Alberta rounds.
