Reading and listening to a lot of people reflecting on 2022. With covid still controlling our lives, i can't blame people for wanting to put the past behind them. But there is so much negativity that makes even little problems worse than they really are.
In 2022 i lost my soulmate after a really difficult battle. Part of me wanted to put it all behind me and lock it away. But it would be wrong to try and forget the fantastic life we had.
2023 will be the start of a new life. Sue will be with me as life carries on in the new direction i find. I'm not going to slow down or cry in my beer. Turning 70 this year means i probably have ten good years left living life the way i like to. That means doing things that not everyone would approve of. I'm not making resolutions. I'll stick to my old tried and true "everything in moderation".
Happy new year everyone. My friend Bernadette and i are going into 2023 and beyond with everything we've got.
