Spring riding season is a wash, no doubt about that, let's hope our numbers are way better by summer. Rider #51 (y)

We are thinking about preparing for an October national. That seems far enough away to be safe maybe.

That MA event is only 3 weeks out. CSBK first event isn't until a few weeks after that.

Well that is a thumbs up and #51 is my competition plate number and that was a reference to people not being racers.

I've already explained it - TWICE. Due to contractual obligations, they can't officially cancel an event until they can point to an external "force majeure" that they can use - such as a public health authority officially stating that public gatherings will be prohibited until after the date of the event. Thus far, that has not happened.

If they cancelled the event pro-actively then THEY would be on the hook for all the contract disruptions, and wouldn't be able to point to a "force majeure" clause. If the virus decided to go away as quickly as it came ... then they would have cancelled the event for no reason ... and that would be expensive.

The crystal ball that CSBK has, that predicts what influence this virus has 6 weeks from now, isn't any clearer than what yours or mine is. Conversely, you and I have access to the same information that they do, and your ability to predict the viability of that event is just as good as theirs is.

And no, I don't think CSBK round 1 is going to happen, either. Round 2 (Grand Bend, June) might, maybe.

My beef is with CSBK for saying *nothing*.

At this stage, *you* are their lay spokesman.

Not acceptable.
