Funny story for the day -


Dude in the BMW has his cell phone glued to his ear.

He's cheating in the HOV lane - wants to pass the mass of traffic then sneak in at the end of the right-turn-only.

I move left to get a clearer helmet-cam shot of his phone glued to his ear. With the lights on my Harley and my blue helmet, I think he thought I was a cop and abandoned his left merge to pull over to the right...

Hmm this is an interesting and strange thread. Not sure what to make of it, but I do like the street eye candy. ;)

This weekend was the turning point from pumps to long boots.

Another recent downtown fashion trend is bicycle helmets with flashing LEDs - red triangle at the rear and a white line at the front. I guess you really need that if you pop into traffic like this (and blindly into the open lane going north)

Metric cruiser guy with a strip of red LEDs on his helmet. If you want to increase conspicuity, I'd suggest a light colored helmet like the vespa rider or GS rider below. I think the LEDs are a little tacky. Then again, an application of EL wire would be cool...
