wonder how it works though, what it you post your tag (to steal mine) but then i see it and repost mine along with a new one, does it go back to me?! lol

Don't get me wrong I didn't go in. Just knew it was a known spot and not too far West and easy-ish access through highways

Ok, to clarify the rules (and Nims correct me if I am wrong) :
If you don't post your new tag within 3 hours of the old tag, then it's open again. Now someone can claim the old tag. However, if you (first tagger) post your new tag before the 2nd tagger, then the tag is still yours.

Edit: you do not need to repost your original tag.

With all due respect to Phillou...and he will agree too, its anyone's game till you post your pic of getting the tag...that's the exciting thing about the game IMHO
