I'm curiously waiting to see if Suzuki will update their GSXR1000, it's been the same bike for 5 years with minor tweaks. And I hope they move away from the plastic look

2008 was the year where motorcycle sales dropped 50% (think it was 1,000,000 units to 500,000?) and the supersport/superbike section was hit the hardest. Maybe if they're recovered from that they will? =(

Yep. Many of them had unsold SS bikes for quite some time after the meltdown.

In North America, yes, bikes are toys here, they are transportation in Europe and Asia.
