Not yet but I'm going to. I've had wobbles in my time but nothing like that. I've been on a two wheeled something with a motor since around 1985. I think that's not a horrible record for finally having a bad one. Would chapters have said books?

I'm not sure, there's a video on YouTube that compliments the book but the book has much more depth.

I'm sure you've heard this before but the book pretty much explains why everything you do reactively on a bike is wrong, especially during panic situations.

Regardless, your accident sucks but it's great to hear that you're getting back on so fast =D

EDIT: I'm pretty new compared to you (only 3 seasons) so take anything I say with a grain of salt lol

All the current jap sports bike looks fugly to me... they don't make them like they used to...

best looking middle weight sports bike right now is the '12 daytona 675 or 848
even the '13 daytona is a bit weird

I like the looks of the daytona's but not the price. Not worth it imo. If I was going to spend more than what the gsxr costs it would be on an 848 for sure. I do think it's the best looking of the bunch

I was planning on getting the books even before the crash. New has nada to do with any of it. I've had time off the bike and from talking with you so far you seem to have a pretty level head when it comes to riding. More than we can say about a lot of others on here with assumptions and opinions based on zero. :hello2:

I was seriously stunned that the 600 instantly tank slapped with that on there. It didn't seem to do anything :(

I have a hyperpro on mine in the stock location. No slappers yet and I whack the piss outta mine.

I have an Ohlins on my RR and it helped a lot when I went into a tank slapper at Shannonville.

Thank you =D

Riding developed into a huge passion for me so I spent my winters reading about bikes when I couldn't ride. Applying is a lot harder than reading though, instincts, fear, habits, and all that crap kicks in.

Only thing bigger is the engine, and 5mm longer wheel base + 7 lbs

This is a no brainer for anyone who has ridden a 600 and a 750. Get a 750...

Anybody notice a higher compression ratio on the 600 vs the 700? Sheesh

Gixxer 750 for me in black if I had to choose. If we were going on looks alone out of the jap bikes it would be kawi for me then yami then suzuki then honda. But I am biased towards euro bikes so I guess this opinion really doesn't matter lol.
Either way the gixxer is a great reliable bike

so clearly it only accepts race fuel.

The higher compression is to make more power I believe. With the 600 class being so cut throat every HP they can get reliably on pump fuel is necessary.

Race fuel isn't normally a necessity until the compression ratio is 13.5:1 or higher

So... Blue/White is winning! :headbang:

Yep, that and apparently my daddy pays my insurance and everyone should ride on the roads on small touring style bikes. F*$k that guy is an idiot :lmao:

I appreciate all the actual input from those of you who have helped.

Although I totally agree that a SS or SBK bike is pretty useless on the street and there are way better bikes for street use, the rest of what he said makes no sense.

I love my 750, definitely way more midrange than the 600 and stills pulls with all but the new litre bikes at the track.

Blue/white is pretty nice but mine is black and I like adding a little accent here or there to make it pop.

Good luck

I see my sarcasm slipped through most of you...

I am a huge fan of the blue/white GSXR, have been one for a while now. You can get almost any bike in black, the blue/white is a nice unique scheme.
